Sadly Missed
Please note that we have lost one of our most popular Carp members; Mr Micky Stanton (Badger) passed away 26/03/09. He will be sadly missed.
The attendance at his funeral shows just how popular he was. All our condolences to his Parents and family.

For those who don’t know Ivan has retired as Match Secretary, and I have been elected a the A.G.M. Ivan is staying on as a committee member, I’m pleased to say, many thanks to Ivan for all the work he has done for the club.
I’ve not made a lot of changes please note the start times of the matches.
I am bringing back the “FUR AND FEATHER” which will be held on our stretch of the River Wreake at Kirby Bellars members fishing this match will have to pay “IN ADVANCE” so I can sort the prizes out, come and win your “CHRISTMAS DINNER,” you will have till the Winter Match October 18 to pay, you can pay a little ach match or in a lump sum as you wish, “EVERYONE WILL WIN A PRIZE. ” Entry fee £10, I will explain about parking at the matches when I see you.
MATCHES
All matches will start on time, so this can happen I want everyone to let me know in advance please.

So come along and have a laugh at the draw and while the match is taking place.

Let’s see if we can break some club records this year.
If possible, I would like your e-mail address if you have one, I can let you know about what is happening in the club, or you can let me know about your fishing days out and the fish you have caught and where you caught them, big, medium or small catches hopefully I can help new and old members with some information, also this could influence next years matches.
Thinking about next year’s matches if there is something you would like to do, or fish somewhere let me know. “I’m not promising anything, just let me know.”
NOTICE BOARD
We are having a new notice board (if it’s not up already) on it will be the results of the matches, hopefully, some photos of your catches, match and pleasure, and all different aspects of your club. Also a list of specimen fish and the people who caught them if they are witnessed by two members of the club (name and number required).
If you have a large catch or a very large fish roach rudd perch etc, please phone me I will try to get down to see it/them, and verify if possible. Try and get it witnessed by two members of the club, if I cannot get down. (Name and number required. I will also need to check the scales used) I look forward to your phone call.
I would just like to say goodbye to NICK know as BADGER who passed away in March, he had a very good send off by family and friends.

It was reported that a Carp well over 40lb was caught and lost around pegg 27
I took this with a pinch of salt, but have now had it confirmed by 4 regular Carpers that this did happen!
